Joe and his wife own 125 acres on Curry Pike in Mercer County where he recently relocated the Myers Angus Farm operation. Myers Angus Farm consists of 50 purebred Angus cows from which he markets purebred bulls and females throughout the year. Joe was raised in Montgomery County, Kentucky where he has been a lifelong partner with his parents in Myers Angus Farm In 2007, Joe and his family relocated to Mercer County where he was manager of the former Anderson Circle Farm until its sale in late 2011.
Joe currently serves as a sire analyst for Select Sires Beef and travels the US to identify, purchase or lease bulls. Joe managed B&J Angus Farm in Mount Sterling until 1992. From 1992- 2007 he taught Agriculture Education at Montgomery County High School. During his tenure he served as departmental head and developed and managed the Chenault Agriculture Center. Joe currently serves on the board of the Central Kentucky Angus Association. He is a past president of the Kentucky Angus Association and is also active in the Mercer County Cattlemen’s Association and Kentucky Cattlemen’s Association.
Mr. Myers graduated from the UK College of Agriculture with an Agricultural Education degree in 1985, He also received his master’s degree in Vocational Education and his Rank 1 Certification in Educational Administration. He and his wife Toni have 2 children. They are members of The Carpenters Christian Church in Harrodsburg.
