The 7th annual Kentucky’s Fort Harrod Beef Festival will take place for two days, June 1 - 2, at the Mercer County Fairgrounds in Harrodsburg, Kentucky.
Saturday events (June 2) at the festival will feature a variety of activities, with live music by Stringtown beginning at noon. Stringtown will play throughout Saturday afternoon on the Ag Credit WoodSongs Music Stage during three (3) live concert sessions, 12:00 noon – 12:45 p.m.; 1:30 p.m. – 2:15 p.m.; and 3:30 p.m. – 4:15 p.m. Concert admission is free.
This year marks the 3rd time that the Danville Office of Central Kentucky Ag Credit has produced the Music Stage at the beef festival. The Music Stage has become highly popular throughout Central Kentucky and is a collaboration between Central Kentucky Ag Credit and the world-famous WoodSongs Old Time Radio Hour.
Stringtown will perform with a diverse selection of music at Kentucky’s Fort Harrod Beef Festival. Bluegrass, County, and Gospel music will be featured. Stringtown has performed at dozens of festivals across Kentucky and nearby states. Included are the J.D. Crowe Festival; many special events in Kentucky’s State Parks; they have performed for Kentucky Governors’ events; they have raised countless contributions for Homeless Veterans and other charitable organizations; and they have performed on the Ag Credit WoodSongs Music Stage at other events.
Stringtown placed in the second round of finalists at the 2004 SPBGMA International Band Competition in Nashville, Tennessee. This great group is always energetic and always entertaining.
