Patrick and his wife Erica, own and farm 105 acres in Fayette County, Kentucky. They run a horse boarding operation with 36 horses and produce 4-5,000 square bales of hay per year. The boarding ranges from full-care to self-care. Patrick grew up on a beef cow/calf and small scale farming operation in Columbia, Kentucky and has been farming on his own for 7 years. Patrick graduated from Adair County High School in Columbia, Kentucky. He completed prerequisites and doctoral degree in Pharmacy from the University of Kentucky. He works full time as a pharmacist for the Veterans Administration Hospital in Lexington.
Mr. Higginbotham serves on the local Farm Bureau Board for Fayette County. He is an active member of Trinity Christian Fellowship in Lexington. Patrick and wife Erica have three children.
